Central Park Performing Arts Foundation

After School Camp

Acting helps youths express their story in a variety of ways through words, music, song, dance, etc. Learning to communicate in a variety of environments increases their ability to connect with others and to express and receive ideas. The ability to communicate is the skill most lacking for those entering the job market. Arts funding in primary schools continues to decline, but the benefits of arts education resounds.

Our board members knew our students were missing this element of primary education, specifically from 3rd to 8th grade. Board member Stephen Halstead stepped up to serve this need. Steven’s years of experience with Pinellas County Schools in behavioral education and a love of the arts made him the perfect candidate to launch our inaugural after school program. Our students break down the essentials of acting in a fun after school program. Theater is an art form. Our students learn the craft of acting through objective based learning.

These classes are offered Semi-Annually since Fall 2020. The Foundation provides scholarships for families with financial needs.

Live entertainment year round at affordable prices and event spaces for a wide variety of parties and corporate events.
